SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL 2020

Sundance Institute came to us in the Fall of 2019 looking to revamp video coverage of their flagship event. In the past they had used several different freelance shooters but they wanted more consistency across all their footage. And because of their discerning audience, they needed everything they produced to have a cinematic look.

So, we worked with their staff on a strategic plan and then a team of eight of us descended upon Park City for two weeks. Our crew was responsible for covering dozens of assignments - including red carpet press lines, intimate studio interviews and panels led by industry leaders.

Each day, the footage we captured was immediately edited and turned into daily highlight recaps which played at every screening the following day. More in-depth interviews are edited later offsite and released on their YouTube channel throughout the year.

Top of the line cameras and lenses were provided to our crew through a partnership with Canon.

It was a whirlwind couple of weeks but we pulled it off, had a lot of fun, saw some amazing films and were able to meet and connect with some very inspiring filmmakers and actors. Where else can you cover T Swift and Hillary Clinton in the same day? And celebrate Chinese New Year with Ai Weiwei? Only at Sundance.
